Must have gone to a good school.

Seriously, why would HE try to make a bet easier for YOU to win? It's his proposed bet, of course the "odds" are going to be in his favor.
to get someone to accept the bet it has to be worthwhile to take. no one is going to accept it if it skewed against them. so if you want to have a bet it needs to be more even. thats why HE should make it more even if he wants YOU to partake in the bet

He's not making a bet. He's making a point.

But things will change dramatically after the upcoming sixteen game winning streak.

Are you aware that Eric Gordon will be driving the Shabus on the 2nd half of back to backs this season?

Saying the Hornets won't have a top 3 isn't "drunk old man" crazy, saying they won't have a top 6 pick is bordering on inebriated senility.

Hmmm . . . so you ready to bet straight up? No conditions regarding changes in personnel or other unforeseen events?

It wasn't really, but I was taken aback by ATL's post.

They'll have a top 6 pick, man. No doubt in my mind about that. In fact after the lotto I bet they have a top three.

Unless Gordon plays like an all-star and Rivers and Davis speed up their development process, I'm not nearly as confident as you are about the Hornets being outside of the top 6 in the draft

That being said, I kind of agree with the point you are making with this thread. I don't like the "Tank for ________" threads this year. I understood it last year because Davis is a can't miss, franchise player that this draft doesn't have. Plus, I can't stand to have 2 seasons like that in a row

Agreed. Tanking makes no sense this season anyway, we want a mid-lotto pick to get our 3 anyway. I still think they end up 5-8 though.

i dont support the tank this year either but is it really that much of a hindrance to make yall so upset. on the 1st page there is only one thread mentioning anything like this and it really is just a thread that was started just to show off a funny picture and make us laugh after a loss. i dont get why certain people are so angry like its affecting the board. there is really not enough activity on this board to where it is cluttering anything up

I'm not upset, I just ignore those threads for the most part. But I understand where VOR is coming from

about 50 games left in the season. i say that they finish around 20-30 in those games.

that would put them at 27-55 on the year.

in the past that's anywhere between 5-8/9 range. so i think they could end up picking top 6, but i'm going to doubt it. i don't think they get as lucky as last year and jump up. i'm thinking they end up picking where they are in the standings...which IMO will be in the 7/8 range.

I'm not a gambling man and even if I were I wouldn't bet against my own team, but I will say that 2 months ago I'd have thought they'd be in the 8-12 range if Gordon returned healthy and now I am much more pessimistic. Between Gordon missing back to backs and the DLeage level SF play, this team has some serious deficiencies.
