Because he's the hero Hornets talk deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

Even with Gordon and Davis out I didn't think we would be this damn awful.

We can still laugh at the Clippers all season for losing to us.

Counting Ryno we have 3 NBA starter caliber players on this team. 2 are hurt.

Smiht has been bad this year. I don't know what happened but his jumper isn't nearly as consistent.

I honestly thought we would be worse than what we are doing without Gordon and Davis. We won't win any games without a borderline Allstar or 2. All NBA playoff teams have atleast 2-3. Right now all we have is Anderson and he's probably never going to play in an Allstar game. Of course we are losing most of our games with 10 role players touching the floor

Yeah it's tough to win when we're missing 35-40 ppg out there each night between Davis and Gordon. Hopefully we'll benefit in the long run with our role players getting a ton of experience.

Hasn't been fun to watch though.

Taking age into consideration, I think Kevin Love and Anthony Davis are the only PF's that I would take over Ryan Anderson right now. If you want to include contracts in the discussion, then just Davis. RA is looking like a fringe top 5 PF, is only 24, and makes just $8.5m/yr over the next three years. He'll only get more efficient when Gordon and Davis take some of the pressure off of him.

Smith needs to take a few games off to let his thumb heal. He's really weak with the ball and effecting his guide hand on shot. He's playing through it.because we are thin and Davis is made of nola glass so far. But he's terrible with it hurt

I think in a year or two the Hornets will have one of the best big 3's in the league. I had huge expectations for Ryan Anderson and he has surpassed them and that's without any other offensive threat out there with him. If EG and AD stay healthy this team can be a force. I can endure this team sucking because I see brighter days ahead and it actually may be better for our long term future success. Imagine a line up of Vasquez, EG, Shabazz, Rhyno, Davis.

Sucks that Rivers hasnt really made an impact. Hopefully he will develop and get better over time.

I watched the whole game... had Lakers -4... that is the most invisible 31/9 I've ever seen... when I saw this thread I was shocked... can't believe he put up 31/9

Dwight's 18/8 was FAR more impressive given he altered at least 15 shots.

It's hard to be relevant when everyone outside of Vasquez, Lopez, and Anderson combined for 25 points.

Vasquez is a serviceable PG but he needs lot of talent around him. I am a little worried if he can develop a connection with Davis though and get him lobs and dunks, most of his dimes come from open jump shooters.
