Durant is either staying in OKC or he is heading to Washington. I don't buy any of the places being real candidates.

He's already talked w Lawson about playing together and of course him and harden are buds. So prob 2 of his best 3-4 buds in the whole league are Rockets. And they very likely will have the best roster in place for him if he wants to win a ring.

Miami has a great roster too and prob the #1 or 2 city in the whole league for NBA players. Also they have Riley who's probably the best salesman/recruiter in the league.

If OKC makes the conf finals or better I think he'll stay, if they get bounced in rd 1 or rd 2 he won't take heat if he leaves.

They have an aging D Wade, Bosh coming off of a life threatening issue, and 2 guys that haven't really proven yet to be more than one hit wonders.

He could easily just go win 60 games a year in the East playing with Wall and Beal in his hometown.

or he could win 60 in the west and a couple titles with 2 of his best buds.

and dwight would be okay with being the 3rd-4th fiddle? this isn't about making just KD happy, its about making your whole team happy.

I think Dwight took a big step in maturity in ceding to Harden. But to cede to Harden AND KD? eh.

Lets not forget Lawson will be taking away his shots as well as some of Harden's

Are they related? I had to google the guy and I think he'd pretty much be a FA every summer..

He was a top 10 player out of high school here in Memphis and like most guys that play under Pastner he never lived up to the hype.

He entered the league after his sophomore season and either went late in the 2nd or undrafted.

I don't think he has made a NBA team yet. Wouldn't be surprised if that Detroit deal is training camp invite.

Here is his wiki (LINK ). According to it, he has been signed and waived by 7 teams in 2 seasons, since he went pro. He has got into 6 games in that time. It does look like he had a nice season last year in the D league.

His name just kind of stood out amongst all of the others to me..

I see KD to NOLA is already giving our division rivals nightmares

No I just enjoy posting here occasionally, but the KD stuff is a bit too ridiculous for my taste.

I've already stated here and elsewhere that I find the idea of soooo many teams thinking they have a chance at him just as ridiculous.

The next 2 guys after him are Conley and Horford, so there is obviously a big drop off after him unlike in other FA classes.

It is definitely going to be a circus with so many teams having max cap space with so few guys worth a max deal.

I would really love for us to sign Gallinari. Would fit the Gentry system greatly.

I don't think it'll happen either, but I don't think it's that ridiculous.

I think the Pels will be the 7th seed this year and possibly win a series. With AD and another year of progression for the team I think they could be an attractive place for a big free agent. I think that's fair enough. KD big? I doubt it. But, I wouldn't be THAT shocked.

I agree with RTR, it really seems like Washington and OKC. The Wizards are about the only team that gives him an improved path to a title without any drama like hurting OKC fans and his reputation with a lateral move to a rival city (NOLA) or having too much star power in a place like Houston (that's a lot of credit sharing, they only give out one trophy).

Yeah I agree.

I think if the Pels are going to make any improvements win the next year and a half its going to have to be through trade. Someone disgruntled or the like. Not looking good until the Summer of 2017, and man that seems like a long way away.

OKC is the clear front runner from the outside looking in. No one knows how pissed Durant/Russ are at ownership for Harden (still likely since they wouldn't let Waiters wear #13), but if healthy they are a 60 win team and perennial title contender. I would imagine they at least got a blessing from those guys to fire Brooks and hire Donovan.

Something has to go wrong (injuries etc) or be rotten for Durant to walk away at this point in his career.I just don't see him signing on with a team that hasn't been there before or isn't a title contender (I'm much less bullish on the Wiz for this reason) this season. And the East, while deeper, is still a much easier path- Cleveland is the only monster.

Houston is interesting, yet for all the Harden/Lawson love Rockets fans are talking, they are not mentioning his public dislike of Dwight (like almost every other star in the league).

Someone had odds earlier, I'd put them at:

OKC: 80%
MIA: 8%
WAS: 7%
Rest: 5%
