Your top 5 Nirvana songs

I realize this board does not have many Nirvana fans, and I admit I have never been a die hard by any means. With that said, I have always loved their music and how experimental Kurt was. Their music just has a way of growing on you and I have developed a real appreciation for the group as of late. I go through many different styles of music and right now I'm really enjoying them. I'd like to get the boards opinion on your personal top 5 Nirvana songs. Here is mine.
#5 In Bloom
Kurt always talked about making a form of punk rock that could blend the Beatles with a Black Sabbath sound. I think In Bloom was the first song he was able to really grasp the classic Beatles melodic style, hence the video. It has a very powerful chorus with a background vocal from Dave. I also really enjoy the chemistry Krist and Dave have in this song.
#4 Heart Shaped Box
Probably their most recognizable song off their final album In Utero. Another powerful song with a nice catchy guitar riff. In a way showed the direction they were heading.
#3 Drain You
If it wasn't for the greatness of the next two songs this would be one of my favorite songs of all time from any band. The performance in the link was one of Kurts last shows and he really shows how talented and powerful he truly was. When I think of Nirvana, this is the song I think of.
#2 Smells Like Teen Spirit
I know, such a poser move to list Smells Like Teen Spirit. Even though Kurt was very out spoken about how much he began to hate the song because way too many people liked it, who could blame us? It was such a raw powerful song that no matter how many times I hear it, it still can make me want to run through a wall. From start to finish the song is simply incredible and will always be a timeless classic to me. In my opinion, if you don't list this song as a favorite you are simply trying too hard to be a super fan.
#1 You Know You're Right
At this point in my journey with listening to Nirvana, this song is my favorite. It was the very last song ever recorded by the group. I like to think of it as an example of what the future held for the group. It was a perfect combination of their Bleach album and In Utero. Way less pop from Nevermind but enough of a catchy style to really draw you in. It was a very emotional time in Kurts life and you can hear it in this song. Just knowing this was recorded right before his death makes it that much more unique. The video in the link is also an amazing finishing touch to the legacy.
Honorable mentions: (Milk It) (Something in the way)

Scentless Apprentice
Where Did You Sleep Last Night (unplugged)
In Bloom
Serve the Servants
You Know You're Right
Not a big Nirvana fan btw. I'd rank them fourth among the Seattle grunge bands and I also don't think Nevermind is what it's made out to be.

Great list. I agree with you about them not being the best out of the scene, although my opinion on who is is very controversial haha. I think Nevermind was an amazing album but I agree it can be a bit over hyped. I'm just feeling it right now.

So many people on this board talk about how overrated they are, I actually think they have become underrated (on this board at least).
1. In Bloom
2. Smells Like Teen Spirit
3. About a Girl
4. Lounge Act
5. Do Re Mi

This board is also obsessed with jam bands like Phish. So there's that.

Pearl Jam
Nirvana
AIC
Soundgarden
..I really don't like this argument because each band is very unique in their own way and ranking the best bands from the Seattle grunge scene is way more of a ranking in music taste than actual band talent. They were all great.

Nirvana was not some composition of musical genius, nor did they purport to be; none of them had musical education or training, but Grohl was prodigious.
Cobain was a songwriter, and one of the best--and the others were just making noise along with him, playing with distortion and big tempo shifts within songs.
Top Five
One - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Two - Moist Vagina
Three - Drain You
Four - Rape Me
Five - Love Buzz
Honorable mentions: Sliver, Floyd the Barber, Lounge Act, Verse Chorus Verse, and Heart Shaped Box.
