Been looking for some new music to listen to tbh, but I figured this would be a nice way for people to get introduced to some new bands by others throwing out what is in their opinion, their respective best work. If possible, state the general genre of the artists as a whole below.

Alterbridge - Blackbird
Kamelot - Lost and Damned
Teramaze - Ordinary Dream
Project 86 - One Armed Man (gonna catch heat for this one)
Dream Theater - Octavarium

Pretty much all metal, with 2 being progressive (Teramaze, Dream Theater), 1 grunge (Project 86) another power metal (Kamelot) and I'm not really sure what Alterbridge is to be honest. Sometimes they're alternative, sometimes hard rock....sometimes they're even straight up power metal (see the song Cry a River from the Fortress album).

By best song, do you mean the song we think best exemplifies what they do? Or our favorite?

dredg - The Canyon Behind Her

Devin Townsend Project - The Mighty Masturbator This was a tough one. He has so many great songs spanning so many different styles.

Mew - Introducing Palace Players The dissonance. It's like drunkenly almost falling over, but catching yourself just in time.

Opeth - Reverie/Harlequin Forest

Porcupine Tree - Last Chance to Evacuate Planet Earth Before It Is Recycled
