Who is your favorite "low-key" New Orleans artist? Any by "low-key", I basically mean that you can catch fairly regularly (even weekly) at the bars, venues, and events such as Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Wednesday at the Square, Thursday at the Park, etc.

My vote would have to be for Jon Cleary and The Absolute Monster Gentlemen or John Lisi's Delta Funk.

Love Cleary. Also like Alex McMurray (either solo or with The Tin Men), Paul Sanchez, Eric Lindell and Walter Wolfman Washington. Can see all of these guys weekly.

Anyone know if they are still playing at the maple leaf tomorrow night or if they are done?

Kermit Ruffins is pretty accessible. I have been a fan of his for a long time and he is playing in the city at different places every week.

Like a lot of the people mentioned but some of those I wouldn't call low key. I'll say Colin Lake.
