Apparently they are hard to find. Nobody I've asked knows anyone.

If you started on guitar and learned the Keys and all the chords in the Keys and learned the progressions, then learning Bass is easy. I played in bands on guitar 1st, then got in a band where the Bass player could sing, but couldn't sing and play bass at the same time. I had to learn to play Bass when he sang and he played rhythm guitar on those songs. Or are you starting from scratch?

You don't need lessons for bass.
1. Learn the notes for each fret/string.
2. Play along to your favorite songs (and with tab if you must).
3. If you want to get expert, begin learning scales from YouTube/books.

you don't "need" live lessons for any instrument when there's so much instructional youtube video out there

Check out BRMusicStudios.
I think they mainly teach younger ages, but the owner, Doug Gay, is a really awesome guy and could get you connected with someone for sure.

But especially bass.
I took a couple of lessons way back when (after I semi knew how to play).
The guy just had me practice scales the whole time.

If he has a want to play then he will learn. You don't need lessons

I've taken 2 lessons. I think I'm ready for a gig.
