Gov't Mule doesn't do anything out of the ordinary
They consistently have a local talent sit in with them at every show. Which is pretty cool

I like how they stick to their blues/rock. At least they aren't trying to make alien noises with laptops

not getting into that. But that's why I like them. They're a good hard rock band that I enjoy. I don't expect much more than that.

Did you go to the Mule show at the Varsity? The second set after the power came back on was one of the better shows I've seen them do

Yup. I was hanging out behind chimes when the power went out and WH came out and shook me and my friends' hands and my buddy asked him if they were staying and he said "we're staying if you guys are staying". And I ended up finding his guitar pick on the ground after he tossed it into the crowd after the encore. Will definitely be a show I'll never forget.

Good lord. High Falls dad rock? Again you show what a complete jackass you are. What are you compensating for Burt?

Warren Haynes just has so much soul and Iike Mule a whole lot so I will go with him> DT definitely rips it though. can't go wrong either way.

Haynes and it isn't close.

Govt Mule is one of my favorite bands.

But Trucks is solid. I've seen him a few times both with and without Haynes on stage next to him.

Trucks has more potential, but kinda mails it in. His shows are fun and he is great to watch but I dunno- something just seems off. Tedeschi-Trucks Band resembles a circus sometimes. I think Derek would thrive best in a jam trio or quartet setting. Strip it down and focus on shredding.

One thing I like about Gov't Mule is their frequent guests and choices of covers. Lots of nods to great guitarists. Also am a big fan of Haynes' wah wah use.

I pretty much agree. Haynes is more versatile, ie he can play more styles. Trucks is a one trick pony but it's a hell of a trick.
