iTunes is pretty expensive after a while. I want to use something else. How do you feel about Spotify?

I use it everyday in my office. 90% of the time I can find any music I'm looking for. I don't pay the $10 a month. Only problem is there are random songs that won't be on there. Like tool isn't on there and there's been a couple others that I can't think of right now.

All in all I like it but even if you pay for the service I don't think you can download the music. You just stream whatever playlist you create on your computer.

I was hoping you could download music. I don't always have Internet access. Are there any other services that do have downloadable music?

I'm a big fan. Mobile usage is totally worth the $10/month. If you don't use mobile, the free version is legit as long as you don't mind commercials every so often.

Spotty blows, you can listen to a bunch of music as long as you already know the name of it. At least that's how t was a few years ago. Hard to hear new and interesting shite.

The subscription version of Spotify allows this. You can make stuff available in off-line mode.

I have no problem paying for the subscription if I can download songs. Thanks.

At Eddie: I use other sources for new stuff. I'm just looking for a better way to download music.

You can. You can make it available offline, and download the playlist on your phone. I use Spotify like 10 hours a day during my busy parts of the year.

I pay the $10/month.

I pay the $10/mo and think it's worth it. I mainly use it at work, but I also have it dialed into my home stereo through my media server.

Like others said, it has 90% of the stuff when I look for it and illegally downloading music has almost ended for me. There are a few rarities that I can't find on occasion but it's usually really off the wall stuff. Anything mainstream or on a semi-major label is there. I've even found some stuff I would've assumed wouldn't be on there, like lesser known regional acts.

bullshite. I've found three or four new bands that I had never heard of in the last few weeks.

They have a radio option just like pandora does and they also har. Discover option that introduces you to artist similar to the ones you already have saved.

It's the best $10 I spend every month and most will say the same. Anyone who says "spotify blows" is just being difficult and contrary

I disagree. This is where Spotify wins IMO. I've discovered and rediscovered a few artists on there I would never have otherwise known about.

Its awesome. I love Mobile. There are times where i drive through some cities with no service. Spotify mobile lets you sync songs to your phone for that very reason.

It's great. I spend the $10/mo for mobile use, and most of the online review sites I follow have an app for the desktop application. So through that I create playlists for new albums I want to check out. It makes it quite simple to listen to new music.
