You get only one choice, so make up your mind and don't equivocate like a damn woman. And if you are a woman, well just don't equivocate. List one.
Me first: My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (MBDTF)*

College Dropout
This album reached and spoke to me in a way few if any hip hop albums ever have done. Kanye's wears his emotions on his sleeve. The record shows him at his most vulnerable. He hasn't at this point become the mega star. Whether its his survival tale, Through the Wire, or his banger, Get em High, Kanye delivers. We all know and love "Slow Jamz" but it's the songs like "Breathe In Breathe Out" that make me come back to the album time and time again. West now has a bravado that only comes with mega fame and fortune. College Dropout sees a rapper still questioning his place in the rap world. There is a line that always gets me, "I got to apologies to Mos and Kweli/but is it cool to rap about gold if I told the world I copped it from Ghana and Mali", Kanye ain't worried about that anymore! It's his most sincere record and it also came out at a perfect time in my life (when I was in college). I enjoy his albums and still think he is a great producer and mc. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is a fantastic album but for my money I will always go with College Dropout.

College Dropout - It was when he was his most creative and put out straight up hip hop music. Its not the same balla rap he raps about now.

I personally like MBDF, i like all the intro's and instrumentals and zone out sections in the songs, great for my long runs or if i'm on a drives. Plus i like the lyrics and the over all vibe. I do like his older stuff but if I had to choose one.

Graduation, although I admit this and 808s are the only ones I own.

College Dropout.
And beezy made a good point once that I feel like its the best because it's a full album that flows together as one as opposed to 12-15 dynamite singles thrown onto an record. Not that his other ones are poor or subpar by any means because this is still a very tough choice. But CD is sincere and real and full of great tracks

Mbdtf is amazing, but its one dimensional imo. I think graduation is a more rounded album from start to finish.

Ill go with Graduation.
Not too consistent but the highs are great.
In particular-"The Good Life" It's not a great "rap" song but as a pop hit I love it.

Tie ballgame.
I wasn't expecting this. Pesky solipsism.

Graduation sucked compared to MBDTF, Late Registration, and College Dropout
1. Dark Fantasy
2. Dropout and Registration tied
3. Graduation
4. 808s

When Twisted Fantasy came out I thought it was his best, but almost 2 years later I am going with the old favorite Graduation.

College Dropout:
We Don't Care
All Falls Down
Jesus Walks
Never Let Me Down
Get Em High
Two Words
Through The Wire
Family Business
I know it's practically the entire CD, but I don't skip any of those when they come on shuffle

ETA: there's not a single big name rapper out there right now who you can say his new stuff is better than his old, IMO.

I do think MBDTF is the best thing Kanye has ever done. Also, I think Kanye is a mediocre rapper on his best day. Makes great music; doesn't rap very well.
I think Eminem got better for a while until he got worse.
I think Outkast's first album was DEFINITELY their worst. However, I do think their second was their best.
Tupac's best stuff was off All Eyes On Me and the song Hit em up. Tupac was never as good as Biggie.
I refuse to believe Biggie ever would have gotten worse.
Lil Kim only got worse because Biggie was writing her raps for her. And then he died.
I don't think the people who say "Reasonable Doubt" is Jay-Z's best stuff actually believe it.
Where you are right:
Snoop Dogg was AWESOME and then has sucked ever since.
Nas peaked really early.
What the hell ever happened to DMX?
Method Man, where have you gone?
