Southeastern was released last year.

I'll put out a list end of December.

Damien Jurado - Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son
Mac Demarco - Salad Days
Temples - Sun Structures
War on Drugs - Lost in the Dream
Hamilton Leithauser - Black Hour
St. Vincent - St. Vincent
Steve Gun - Way Out Weather
Allah-Las - Worship the Sun

I've admittedly been slacking the last 4-5 months, so my list is kind of incomplete.

In all fairness, the album made a lot of best of 2013 lists, but it seemed to really pick up momentum in 2014.

I know I'm in the minority but I don't think he entire album was that great; just those 2 songs. Red Eyes is incredible though.

Jason Isbell - Southeastern

One of the best albums of the last few years, but this was a 2013 release.

Jack White - Lazaretto

Love it.

Sturgill Simpson - Metamodern Sounds in Country Music

Amazing. I've been listening to this for the last week non-stop. He and Isbell are saving country.

Gary Clark Jr - Gary Clark Jr Live

I'll listen to anything he does, and he's better live anyway. Love it.

I'll also include:

The War on Drugs - Lost in the Dream
Future Islands - Singles

One I always forget to mention is Joyland by Trust

It's actually not very good, but there are like 3 songs on it that are pretty great if you're into that sort of thing

You like this you might like it

I dig the goth-trance thing they got going a lot, but the first album is WAAAAAAAAY better

You don't even like Under the Pressure?

I really like the title track too because of its twangy Americana bullshite sound that I'm a sucker for.

Good album, but it's their worst album by a pretty wide margin.

Takes a few listens. Obviously the first two tracks stand out big time because they are ridiculously good. The entire album is amazing though.
