A top 5 all time album for me, but they did plenty of other good work. Vs is just a notch below.

I just can't figure out if I was in a transitional period, they were, it was lightning in a bottle, I had super high expectations after that debut, or some combination. But, after Ten, it was just a big load of "meh" for me. And I even enjoyed Mcready's original work with Nancy Wilson for "Almost Famous". I think it may be Vedder and I just went in different directions, musically. I mean that was my mid-20s.

That's cool. Ten is there with Appetite for Destruction as greatest debut albums, so in some sense there was nowhere to go but down. Vs is the closest to Ten, but the sound did evolve over time. I don't think they endeared themselves to a lot of people by refusing to release singles or do videos after Ten.
