I am talking about music in general.

You really don't understand that music goes beyond hip-hop. You are one shallow minded motherfricker.

Ok...so he was comparing being a football fan to being a music fan and I disagreed. I don't get what you are getting at now other than agreeing with me that they are different.

In the music industry concert sales are more important for the artist/band/musician(s)/speaking person actually to make money. Radio play and record sales make the record companies rich, not the artist. In rap/hip-hop the rappers biggest avenue of income would probably be clothing/fashion sales. That seems to be mostly what made money for P Diddy and Jay Z.

So you're telling me that in hip-hop today concert sales are more important to notoriety and popularity than record sales/radio plays?

Yes absolutely..

The shittiest/most generic music comes on the radio (with a few exceptions) and the people too stupid to download songs off the interwebz are the same one who listen to the radio

take juicy j for example, he's all over the radio and being played in the bars. he played at the varsity a few months ago. meanwhile, you have phish with 100,000 at a concert.

But heady said nothing about income, he was implying that a phish feature would get K dot more hip hop radio plays than a drake feature. He's a moron

No they dont. For example, Drake cant sell out a New Orleans show, yet he's one of the most popular hip hop artists in the world. So you're wrong.

Not sure what you're getting at?
Yeah, Juicy J gets all those plays, so that's why he's well known.
