Its amazing how many incredible songs he wrote. One of the best American musicians in history.

They had an archived interview with him on NPR Fresh Air today. He talked about how he wrote 4 songs in 1 day in studio. One of them was Mother In Law...he didn't like it and threw it in the trash. Someone pulled it out and said, "we need to give this one another shot"...great stories of someone who lived the musician's life to the fullest.

A fantastic listen. Loved his comment about the Meters being a band of percussionists. WWNO's Music Inside Out had a great episode on him as well. Pretty sure it's up on their website.
