It was a stellar show. Would have preferred Vicarious to Sweat, but that's nitpicking.

Great show. Vibes to whoever fell/jump from the upper section to the floor right after the intermission.

The show put on by both Primus and Tool was outstanding.

However, my experience was diminished ever so slightly by all of the boring bastards in the nosebleeds sitting on their arse the entirety of the concert and then bitching at people who stood up.

I can no longer sit in arena seats at a rock/metal concert. This wasn't Eric Clapton or The Eagles, it was fricking Tool. Get the frick up and live a little.

Modern crowds suck so hard sometimes.

Aamzing, So happy for Sweat, they havent played that in 18 years before this tour.

Glad they added Parabol back to Parabola.

The crowd was pretty awful. Saw 2 people vomiting and the bathroom was flooded.

Primus and Tool were bad arse.

3Teeth may be the worst band I've ever heard.

I almost jumped from the upper level to floor during 3Teeth to make it stop

I was in 122, directly stage left. So, I could see the drummer really well. That dude played the same exact drum beat for their entire set. I dont even think his drumset was set up (electric). He was barely hitting anything.

Then they don't even have a bassist.

3 teeth sounded like shitty NIN and Rammstien and all the shitty songs from the matrix rolled into one.

The only thing that detracted from my experience was the bro that stayed in the aisle corrupting my view for about 30% of the show. You're 6'4" bro. You didn't get a better angle for your iPhone 6S video by being in the aisle.

Goddammit I love TOOL

yea - i was dead center stage but in the 100s, so i had a nice view but not close enough to catch detail.... but he really stood out in the "i dont care one bit" category. wasnt even close to the beat of the song for long portions.

to think, that tape was the optimal outcome of what they were trying to produce.... terrible.

I was commenting on the same thing. I enjoy NIN and Ramstein so I thought maybe they'd have potential. It was god awful. I know nothing of drumming, but I'm 95% certain I could sit in for him. It seemed like a bad caricature of industrial music.

That out of the way, Primus and Tool did not disappoint. Both bands are masters of their craft. Maynard was much more talkative on this tour than I've seen him before. I wonder if his hip replacement surgery made him less grumpy/in pain? That collaboration on Southbound Pachyderm was a rare treat.

Excellent, excellent show.

the silhouette of Maynard on stage in a dress to start off Sweat was great.

On my way out, I over-heard some younger kids say "I thought they would've played some a perfect circle".

Assholes.

What? There was no new song. Are you referring to the drum solo? Maybe the opening song, which was a cover of Zeppelin's "No Quarter?" That cover they performed for the first time back in '94 and then incorporated thoroughly for their second (I believe) Aenima tour in '97. They later released it on a video/dvd combo set as well

By the way, this show was great. The sound was crystal clear, and the visuals were spot on. That '97 Aenima tour is still my favorite of theirs, but this was very good as well. That's the one when he came out dressed in drag (Houston) and a preacher (New Orleans) on different nights. I may have those backwards though; it's been quite a while lol

They are playing a "new song" in between songs - "Descending." They've done it at every show. I think it's all instrumental.

Awesome show. WAY better than the 2010 show at UNO. I was in the uppers and the crowd was very weird indeed. Nobody wanted to get up from their seats. It's like the Puscifer effect rolling over to Tool shows as far as crowds go. Missed out on a poster so if anyone got an extra lmk.
Maynard hiding in the back all the time is getting old though. Saw them at Lollapalooza back around aenema and that's the MJK I remember.

When did they play this? I don't recall hearing anything new. Clearly I missed it

They used it as an intro to Jambi. That 3-4 minutes of instrumental that segued into Jambi was actually part of a new song called Descending.

Descending - Video from previous show

From what I've read in the VIPs and other info out there, Adam says this is part of a song, but stops short of the true sound of the song. A brief and light-weight teaser. It sounds like the song really breaks out, but they don't want to give that away yet.
