Today in Hip-Hop History

August 3, 2010.
Drake released Fancy as his 4th single from Thank Me Later. Not only did Drake deliver a perfect verse for the content of the song, T.I. and Swizz Beatz contributed greatly to the song.
Fancy peaked at the top spot on the US Billboard Rap Songs list and was also nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Performance By A Duo or Group.

Drake is god damn awful. Teen soap opera stars from Canada who can't rap or sing are just not my thing.

Is so funny how obsessed you are with me when every single creditable hip hop poster on this board calls you out for having drakes dick in your mouth. I really think you're a 14 year old girl, actually i would have WAY more respect for you if you were a little girl. It would explain your musical tastes.

And by the way, nothing drake has ever done is hip hop history.

Never will understand the hate drake gets here. Whether you like him or not, it's hard to deny he's a force in the industry.

every song he puts out sells millions, and every song he's featured on immediately gets radio play. He's not the best, but he's the biggest name without a doubt

Their dislike and hate for the guy's music affects their emotions and makes them say stupid things like that. They live in their underground music world where they are disconnected from reality. Sure Drake makes a lot of emotional songs, but to say that his whole fanbase is 15 y/o girls is either a horrible troll attempt or just plain ignorance.

He is huge in the industry. The industry is just kinda lackluster right now.
