Saturday had the top performers across 3 genres playing at the same time. Just bad planning imo

Yeah, I thought Jerry was the best show at JF this year. Just stole the show. I was a bit disappointed with Ser Elton.

If a person has never been to Jazz Fest before I could understand their frustrations with the crowds. However, if you've been before you should start learning various tips and tricks to make things not as bad. Those tips and tricks aren't even some top secret shite either. It's just common sense stuff and trying to be smarter than other people.

Holy shite dude, calm down.

This was right about 3:30 and it took her about 45 minutes to wait in lin FWIW.

ETA:

We actually showed up later than noon. Sorry I wanted to go out and eat a big brunch before Jazzfest with my family. I still didn't think we'd have trouble seeing the small acts. I never have in the past.

I'm not the only one saying this stuff.

Did she have to use the air conditioned trailer bathroom that I see the long line of women using all the time?

She wanted to, but no she did not.

She is a very small and timid person and I'm sure some people were just kind of skipping her. There weren't clear lines from what I saw.

I walked her there and then left to go back to the blues tent because I didn't have to piss.

If I had wanted to see Elton really bad, sure I would've gotten there super early as the gates opened and gotten a good spot.

I prefer to walk around though between stages and that wasn't really in the cards on Saturday with the crowd.

I am far from a Jazzfest expert though.

i was there from 10am until close and never waited longer than 15 minutes. I just dont see the need to embellish shite.

What do I think I'm entitled to?

ETA:

And what was I late to? I got there around 12:30 and the thing closed at 7. I don't call getting there 3 and half hours before the main show late in normal situations, especially when I am not even planning on going to it.

My point in this thread is I don't see why they feel the need to oversell tickets like that. That was a dangerous crowd level and it really affected the smaller stage areas. I expect crazy crowds at Elton.

I didn't say I wanted to see any act with ease. I expected the main ones to be crazy.

I definitely didn't expect it to be as overcrowded on small stages as it was. I have been to festivals all over and that was probably the worst I've seen for actually seeing multiple acts.

I have been to jazzfest and it's been way better.

Jazzfest on a non-Saturday >> Steeplechase.

I agree, but I love live music. Steeple is fun though, probably the drunkest I get all year. Love having a bus drop us off and pick us up after.
