The Twilight Singers - Blackberry Belle

I know that there are a decent number of Afghan Whigs fans on this board, but I've yet to see any mention of The Twilight Singers, a band also fronted by Greg Dulli. Actually, The Twilight Singers is less of a band fronted by Dulli and more a Dulli vehicle. It's his thing, and his thing only. Either way, it's really damn good. So good, in fact, that I can't possibly the only person on the board who is into it. Anyone?
To the extent that you dig Afghan Whigs but haven't listened to The Twilight Singers, put Blackberry Belle at the front of your queue. You'll love it. Eargasms may happen so bring an extra pair of socks.
And to the extent you've never heard a single song by Afghan Whigs and haven't the slightest idea who Greg Dulli is, put Blackberry Belle at the frotn of your queue. You'll love it. It's fantabulous. Eric Cartman said it was the tits.
I've listened to every Afghan Whigs album, and it's my humble opinion that Blackberry Belle is Dulli's best work.
Teenage wristband
The Twilight Singers have two other albums that I will soon be listening to. I hope they're as good as Blackberry Belle, but I just can't imagine they are.

I personally like the first Twilight release but Blackberry is a good one as well.

I definitely thought more people would be familiar with it.

I own several TS albums. All good, atmospheric listens.

I agree that Blackberry Belle is the best of their output. I love anything Dulli related. Bobbyray, you really need to check out this album:
I personally like it better than all of the Twilight Singers' albums.

"She Loves You" is a great cover album. "Blackberry Belle" is a top ten album for me. Great from start to finish.
Seen them about ten times around the South and they are a great live band if you ever get a chance to see them. They play NOLA usually once a year at the least.
Funny story. Guitarist, Dave Rosser, is from New Orleans. Plays in a cover band on Bourbon St. to pay the bills when not touring with Twilight. Walked into BBC on Bourbon one night and he was slaying Sweet Child of Mine on stage. No shame in his game.

If you've seen the Whigs live, then the TS shows are a bit of a letdown. Still a great band.
Always love to see Mr. Dulli in concert, though.
