Man, that sounds like a sweet show. I wish I could justify going, but I've got law school finals coming up starting the week after Thanksgiving. Have fun for me!

And Saturday the 21st at Freebird Live here in Jax Beach!!!

Sayre, come back afterward and let us know what you thought. Can't wait myself for Saturday.

As I had said in a previous thread, my buddy and I were taking the approach that we can go to the show IF the Ole Piss game is a CBS day game. shite, even if it had been a night game, with the way the last two weeks have gone, it is VERY possible we would have chosen the concert over the game.

You are in for one hell of a great show.

For starters, Royal Thunder absolutely kicked arse. A really polished set with a great sound. They're the second opening band in five days that absolutely floored me (The Shivas opened for the Dandy Warhols this past Saturday and I thought they were great too).

As far as the Sword, never fear. The new stuff fits in perfect with the older shite. They played most of the new album plus a lot of tracks off Apocryphon and Warp Riders. They absolutely killed it. IMO, they're one of the very best younger hard rock bands going. This was the third time I've seen them and they have never failed to impress.

Lemme know what you think after your show in Jacksonville.

You nailed it. They were awesome!! Just as I figured. I loved them when they opened for Clutch and knew they would kill it last night.

Hell, I even spent a little time in the pit last night. I really shouldn't do that shite. My dumb arse is turning 50 next March. Might be a little old for it, but oh well. I guess that's what a belly full of PBRs will do.

Great show and I'm glad I went. Last show I'll see in that venue too. Best damn live music venue in Jax and it's been sold to become another Bar/Restaurant. Like there aren't already enough of those out at the beach. Royally sucks and live music lovers here are getting screwed.

Since I tore my ACL I stay away from the pit.

Yeah I'd say that's a good reason.

They're playing here in Nashville tonight. I'm debating on whether to go or not. But it's a Tuesday night...
