I think the first CD I ever bought was human clay (hey don't judge, I was in 9th grade and creed was actually cool at the time) so I guess it was probably Higher or one of their other "hits" at the time.

When I was probably 15 or so, I got a stereo for Christmas with a CD player and dual cassette deck.
My mom said she didn't know what CDs to get me, so she'd gotten advice from my older brother and my aunt.
Thanks to my brother ... I got The Eagles Greatest Hits CD ... and, like The Dude, I hate the frickin' Eagles, man.
Thanks to my aunt ... I got some Garth Brooks CD....I was not fond of that either.
The following year, my aunt sent me a cassette ... "Vanilla Ice: To The Extreme" ... I must shamefully admit ... at the time, I was happy about that.

"Train in Vain" by The Clash. Heard it on the jukebox at Pizza Inn (are there any of those left?). Went to TG&Y (I'm certain there are none of those left) the next day and bought "London Calling". I had purchased a few 45's before that point but LC was my first LP. Soon after that AC/DC released "Back In Black" and that was my second LP.

I think my first album purchase was the Space Jam soundtrack.
