The James Hunter Six

I saw them last night in Birmingham and they were phenomenal. Unfortunately, the crowd kind of sucked.
Hunter came out afterward to meet fans and sign autographs. Great guy, very professional.
They play tonight in Baton Rouge and tomorrow night in Lafayette. I encourage anyone with the opportunity to go; you won't be disappointed.
Edit: for anyone unfamiliar, James Hunter is a 53 year old Brit whose older stuff reminds me of Sam Cooke and whose newer stuff sounds like James Brown. His band consisted of Hunter on guitar with a keyboardist, upright bass player, drummer, and two saxophonists.

Thanks for the heads up. Friday night they play outdoors in Lafayette at Parc International. I had no idea.

I'll vouch for they guy also. Saw him Sunday in NO - just fricking phenomenal.
