I am impressed with it, and what they're playing. I wish they would have had this long ago!

How many of you are listening in?

I see it having potential. I wonder how many well recorded live performances are out there. That is what makes XM other artist stations so great.

i've had it on since it started the other day
loving it

there isnt a whole lot of "live" beatles material worth hearing, unless they've got access to any early UK or germany shows. but what there is a ton of are studio outtakes, so i hope those get mixed in

Anyone know if they plan to do non-music segments too?

Some interviews with Mark Lewisohn or other Beatles personalities would be great

They really don't have a good live catalog to pull from, but they are filling in the gaps with talk shows and other stuff, and playing solo cuts from the members.

The station says it also plays music that inspired them or that they inspired.

I heard a Todd Rungren cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Pretty good.

That is all the wife is listening to.
I'm cool with them but I need some 80's Alternative or Ozzy's Boneyard to balance it out.

"Breakfast with the Beatles" is good in the mornings. Chris Carter knows his stuff. Been doing it a long time.

I'll give it a listen now that JamOn has turned into a complete dumpster fire.

Few to none. Unfortunate that live rock music recording was in its embryonic stage in 1963... Even more restrictive was the non-existence of adequate concert sound equipment for the masses they'd draw. P.A. systems at the time were designed to accommodate a singing voice with a non-amplified orchestra and a crowd of maybe a few hundred quiet listeners. The futility quickly discouraged them from live performances... which they stopped altogether by '66, before they recorded the largest part and most creative period of their short existence as a band.
