I wish I could come down for this. This is the Panther's first NOLA show & it is going to be insane. If you are in the area go to this show. One of the greatest live experiences you will ever see.

I got her to watch "It won't suck itself" and now she's hooked.. haha..

Holy shite, that was a blast. Just rolled out of bed with a massive hangover.
I've been to a ton of shows at the HOB, and I've never seen another crowd come close to having that much energy or be that pumped up. The place was sold out and everybody knew all the songs. A crowd full of real fans.
It wasn't a concert so much as a 'show'. They came out, played three songs, then broke into extended hilarious banter amongst themselves. That pattern stayed the same throughout the show.
I doubt any other band could make multiple Katrina jokes in N.O. and still get a laugh.
Twice they brought up chicks they'd planted in the audience onto the stage for songs. One was an Asian woman while they played 'Asian Hooker'. When they were through with that song they then covered Sweet Child O' Mine with her on vocals. Then they brought up another, much hotter chick a few songs later. Ended up having her pick out all the other women she'd be willing to frick and brought them all onstage while they did a 17 Girls In A Row.
Satchel did the best version of Eruption I've ever seen by someone not named Van Halen. He really is the secret weapon of that band, and the back and forth between he and Michael Starr got the most laughs by far. Although, Lexxi did have his moments.
Don't remember the order or all the songs, but the one's I remember are:
Eye's Of A Panther (opened the show with that one)
Asian Hooker
Fat Girl
Turn Out The Lights
17 Girls In A Row
Party All Day (frick All Night)
Community Property
Death To All But Metal
Girl From Oklahoma
Just Like Tiger Woods
Tomorrow Night
Gold Digging Whore
Party Like Tomorrow Is The End Of The World
Ten Strikes Your Out
And probably a couple others I can't recall right now. I haven't been that fricked up for a concert in a long time. The only thing they didn't play that I personally really wanted to hear was The Shocker.
Like I said, the crowd was electric from beginning to end. I think the band really got off on that. Michael Starr seem a little bit surprised that the audience knew all the words to Community Property by heart. No doubt they'll be back again.
And speaking of crowds, New Orleans just has some of the best audiences anywhere to be found, no matter that type of music that's being performed. Whether it's The Sword in some French Quarter dive, Dandy Warhols at the Joy, or this show, the crowds is into it from the get go and you can tell the bands like it.

Great to hear, Sayre. I am so pumped the Panther finally made it to New Orleans & I knew the crowd would be into it. I moved from New Orleans to Dallas after Katrina & the energy of the crowds are very different here than New Orleans. The bands are so pumped when they play New Orleans. I have seen Steel Panther 5 times in Dallas to date & at one a few years ago a full on lesbian threesome with clothes taken all off broke out on stage. Look it up on youtube. Its out there.

I'll definitely check that out.

I did not see the most important question I needed answered. Were there boobies in the HoB?! I double scheduled myself over this concert and was pissed.

Yes, the second planted girl showed her nice store bought tits, then 4 of the chicks they brought on stage for 17 Girls In A Row showed their real ones.
