Slash and Myles Kennedy, thoughts?

they're great. while, nothing they do will top appetite for destruction, they are a helluva lot better live than guns n roses ever were. slash has become a better guitarist since he left guns and Kennedy's voice is far better than axl now.

I'm hoping to go to that show, but I doubt I'll be able to. They make for an epic combination, probably better than Alter Bridge.

Saw them at the HOB about 18 months ago supporting the first album with Kennedy. Blown away. Would have been a great show without the GNR songs, but that just added another special flare. I really like their sound and Kennedy is a great vocalist. To me, they're one of the few bands out there still playing rock music. I'll be at the HOB later this month to see them again and actually have tickets for their HOBs date in Houston in May (that show was announced a few weeks before the New Orleans show, so i jumped on it, only to have the New Orleans date announced two weeks later). No worries though.....i'll likely make them both.

I love it. It is a true hard rock album. One of a dying breed. The production value is fantastic on it. The bass guitar sounds huge on the last album. Go check out the vids on youtube on the making of this album, Slash really pushed himself and I really like the way they approached songwriting and recording. Basically, locked themselves in a room and jammed and jammed and recorded in a live setting. Very cool. I agree with whoever said that Slash has progressed alot since GNR. He's a very fine guitar player and is more versatile than ever before. He's cleaner, more aggressive, has better tone, and his composing of songs has come a long way.
