agreed. At nearly 40 years old, I finally learned to pace myself and was able to remember the show from beginning to end.

weird crowd too. We had a couple of scuffles in front of us. Some meathead yat in the pit slipped on his drink. then he wanted to move back to the carpet in front of people with seats. they asked him to move and he insulted the folks with the seats on the carpet. not cool.

then some wookie was jamming hard all up around us. he was the hardest dancer I've ever seen without moving his feet.

Anyone else present for the 2014 marathon show?
First Saenger show and only Mule show.

IF you are aren't a big mule fan, you may as well quit while you are ahead. that one will be tough to beat.

Also all you peeps need to understand that there is no need to embarrass yourself insulting one of the last great rock and rollers in your troll battles.

Warren / The Penguin just shreds and rocks and that is all there is to it. That show was fun as hell, i've seen mule a bunch and saw like 4 new songs / covers. Teasing up Mountain jam and Birdland as well as some Zepplein songs.

Covered The Band, James Brown, Van Morrison, Radiohead, Stones, Zeppelin, Neil Young, Hendrix, The Doors and some standard blues classics.

Also played a great song off his new album (Revolution Come Revolution Go) and some old mule classics like Blind Man in the Dark and Bad Little Doggie.

The second set was better, but i really like the first set with the horns doing John the Revelator, Stage Fright and Into the Mystic,, The middle part of first set was a bit off, but I was excited to heard their new song live and thought it was good. Second set was definitely great.

I swear every damn time I hear Mule start up "When the Music's Over" I think they are going to play Soul Kitchen.

Warren shreds every time... he is such a badass.

Karl Denson and TU Saturday night at One Eyed Jacks takes the cake for me so far. He is a musical genius imo.

I've seen that one a bunch and keep waiting for them to close it out with This Is The End one time.

I had to go see the Original Meters at the Orpheum, not sure if I've ever seen all four together and it was awesome. Ivan filled in in the background cause Art is in rough shape and they had a horn section backing them up. The Orpheum is so loud it was awesome

Also the opener was a funk duo that was one of the coolest and most unique things I have seen in a while. I bought both of their CDs on the way out but I think its something you need to hear live. Great weekend all in all, wish I could have made it to NEON Medeski last night but i need to catch up on some sleep if I am going to power through the coming week at all.

I had people at NEON Medeschi. Waiting to hear how it was. Lettuce/Break Science at Howlin Wolf was pretty legit, we did that after KDTU.
