The popstar’s single ‘Work’, featuring Drake, has now held on to the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 for its eight consecutive week. With her latest hit, Rihanna has equalled The Beatles’, who held the top spot for 59 weeks in total during the course of their career. The current record-holder for the most time spent at No. 1 is Mariah Carey, with 79 weeks.

I don't want to knock Rihanna's singing ability because I think she can sing pretty well. It is just the pandering, horrible pop music nonsense that she and her management elect to put out there. I just wish talented people would put out songs that have meaning. Her new song is one of the most grating things I have ever heard.

That's not going to happen. It's just dumbed down lyrics for a dumbed down audience. Artists like her just provide the vocal talent. There is a whole team of song writers behind her that write the hits. Everybody profits and no one rocks the boat.

She really is a decent singer, but I would agree that she should never be compared to the likes of the Beatles. The Beatles overall work was, is, and always will be better than her.

I don't think anyone is really doing that, just that her songs are insanely popular but not very good.

I'd bet a restaurant that served dog food would do pretty well if none of the customers had tastebuds.

Her new song "Werk" is probably the worst song of all time.

Never a Beatles fan but the idea that this skank is even on the same planet as the Beatles tells you how much music sucks today......or the past 10 years.
