In a new Rolling Stone interview, Rage Against the Machine bassist Tim “Timmy C.” Commerford claimed responsibility for one of most devastating outbreaks during the rap-metal crisis that ravaged America in the years leading up to 9/11: the one, the only, Limp Bizkit. He hereby apologizes for that bullshite.
“I do apologize for Limp Bizkit,” Commerford said. “I really do. I feel really bad that we inspired such bullshite.”
Fred Durst’s RatM fandom was public and well-documented. As Rolling Stone pointed out, Limp Bizkit covered “Killing in the Name” one hundred times or more, and Durst credited Rage for starting that rap-metal shite.

It's amusing and I get it, but Rage still needs to continue getting over itself.
LB was fun in a way that self-serious, non-self-aware commie metal can never be.
Plus, I choose to lump in bands like Incubus, who took "rap metal" to different places. And I love them.

Didn't he climb on top of the stage when Fred Durst was accepting an MTV music award?

No, LB wasn't anything but horrible in a way than that self-serious, non-self-aware commie metal will never be.

I think they're both just awful

Yeah onto the top of a prop on stage - I think they ended up calling the cops.

Nah. LB was fun and had some fun songs. The guitarist and drummer are entirely legit (possibly the bass player too).
I know that Durst is a clown.

This. They take themselves way too seriously.

He should apologize for Zack De La Rocha while he's at it. And their horrible guitarist, whatever his name is.

You wanna mess with Limp Bizkit? (yeah)
You can't mess with Limp Bizkit (why)
Because we get it on (when)
Every day and every night (oh)

It's hard to believe someone actually took the time to write down or type those specific words.

The bass player from Korn takes the cake.

Tha frick you say about Tom Morello?
That man was arguably the most innovative guitar player of the '90s.

Tom Morello is smart and a great guitarist.
Too bad he's an insufferable douche with laughably narcissistic political views.

Limp Bizkit's first 2 albums were ok... 15 years ago, that stuff does not hold up now and Chocolate Starfish might be the worst album ever.
