I was listening to Morning Teleportation's "Expanding Away" and realized this came out in 2011. It was an awesome album from a promising band, but it has been 5 years since any releases. Any other bands fall into this category? I'm talking full albums , not one hit wonders.

Avalanches was the clear winner in this category until a month ago.

Wu Lyf-Go Tell Fire on the Mountain...this isn't rap inspite of the band name. Its ROCK. They broke up after this great first album.

Glad I came into this thread. Really enjoying the guitar work on this album.

Sweet Vine - Sweet Vine (1997)
The Stone Electric - The Stone Electric (2009)
Noble Dog - Let's Go Home (2009)
Army of Anyone - Army of Anyone (2006)
Them Crooked Vultures - Them Crooked Vultures (2009)
The Gracious Few - The Gracious Few (2010)
Another Animal - Another Animal (2007)
Jeff Buckley - Grace (1994)

Jeff probably would have had more amazing music had he not lost his life so soon.

Don't think you should include Them Crooked Vultures in your list. They were a super-group, not your average band.

If we are going to include super-groups in this list then my answer is:

Temple of the Dog

They were a supergroup who indicated more albums would follow...but none have yet. So they fit the thread description.

There was never any indication that Temple of the Dog was going to put out anything more that the one album tribute to Andrew Wood. One of my all time fav albums tho.
