Hendrix had never been in the South and was nervous about segregation. He decided to wait in the bar with a couple of roadies instead of risking any problems in a late night diner. Soon patrons of the bar started showing back up with entire plates of food.
Hendrix wound up on stage and performed several songs. I have no idea if any of that is true. I heard it from someone who decided to go home instead of that bar, and has regretted missing it ever since.

This is fantastic news! As a Yuge Beatles fan, he's been on my "must see" list. Obviously this is a warm up spot to start tour but CenturyLink is a nice venue. It's about damn time they got a Big (non-country) act to come in.

I saw him 4 years ago and it was an amazing show. He still sounded great and the set list was heavy Beatles and lots of good solo and wings songs. I would see him again in a heartbeat. Go if you can.

I kept pulling the crazy expensive one, finally got the $89 section from the fanclub site but was a huge pain.
Can't complain though, i got Section 205 I think, about mid-court on Row B.

I ended up doing the AMEX presale because I couldn't get anything but the 250 ones on the official site. It being out in Duluth is weird, but it's a pretty good venue. Mercedez Benz would have been more interesting, but this is probably a better concert setup than either MB Stadium (not open yet) or Phillips (renovations).

For the floor and close in lower level, shittier lower level was $175, i got a mid-court upper level for $89, which i think is the best bet and then the shitty upper level seats are like $59
