I'm admittedly not the biggest fan, but throw out:

1. Your favorite song from any of their studio albums
2. Your favorite song from Unplugged

I'll go with:
Breed
Where Did You Sleep Last Night

Where Did You Sleep? (My God, what a great cover this is... I want to say one of the Meat Puppets song because I really like the Puppets, but this song is just epic)

I'm not a big fan either. I think they're one of the most overrated acts of my generation. When I tell people this, their response is usually "Oh yeah, well have you listen to their unplugged performance?" I'm like "Oh yeah, the one where the best songs were covers?"

In my opinion they got fingered as the face of something that was new and exciting.

With that being said:
Heart Shaped Box (mainly because of the lyrics)

Lake of Fire is perhaps my favorite Meat Puppets song. I love it.

Smells Like Teen Spirit. It's the perfect way to kick off that album and one of my favorite album intros ever.

Where Did You Sleep is a Leadbelly song (The Pines), If I remember right he says on the video that it's the band's favorite artist. My answers are the same, with maybe Polly interchanged for either.

Studio Album: Come as you are
Unplugged: The man who sold the world

I don't know why, but I still get chills every time I hear 'come as you are'. I was 12 when that record came out, and it completely changed me as far as musical tastes.

And I think they do Bowie's song, better than Bowie did it!

Honestly the only Nirvana songs I can even tolerate anymore are their leadbelly and meat puppets covers...

I still really do LOVE those tunes but the older I get the more I legitimately hate Kurt Cobain, Nirvana and all their original music. I guess that "woe is me", "I am so dark, dysfunctional and weird" thing is only cool for a certain period of one's adolescence.

Mine as well, love that song. Not big on Nirvana in general but do enjoy that one
