"Magma"
About Mama Duplantier and the writing of the Album:
quote:

"The songs were half-written while she was sick," he said. "After she died, I still had to finish them. So one song was like, 'You're going to make it,' but the second verse is 'You didn't make it.'"

"Stranded"

Hell yeah! I was spinning L'Enfant Sauvage this afternoon after a really stressful day at work.

I'm really excited to hear new stuff from them.

One of the best live bands I've ever seen. L'Enfant Sauvage rocks. Pumped for the new record.

If they come within 500 miles on an American tour, I'm going to see them.

They are probably the tightest band in metal right now outside of Opeth.

Saw them open for Mastodon in Atlanta. They crushed it. The pit was insane.

I hope that's the weakest song on the album.

My friend summed it up perfectly "his clean vocals arent interesting enough to carry songs alone, and the emphasis of atmosphere riffs over giant Gojira riffs is disappointing".

I have been listening to the new Periphery single and it has me friggen stoked.

I've listened to it twice and I think it rocks. It's not as aggressive as their previous albums but a lot of the riffs are sick. I don't mind the clean vocals either but I like it when bands change it up even if it's less aggressive. They've kind of taken that step Mastodon took with The Hunter. Best tracks for me so far are Silvera, The Cell, Pray and Only Pain.

I agree on the new Periphery too btw. Can't wait to hear the new record.
