And post some links to tunes.

Emphatically, I say The Jayhawks

Waiting for the Sun

Blue

I'd Run Away

Save It for a Rainy Day

Some good picks. Shocking no mention of Stapleton in one of those.

Ill add Kurt Vile, Mew, Ours, The Family Crest, Tallest Man on Earth, Long Ryders (older alt country) and still don tthink Lord Huron gets its due respect.

How can you tell if you're really old? You no longer recognize the popular music. I have never heard of a single band or song listed above. Guess I'm still stuck in the 70's and 80's musically.

The whole point of the thread is that these songs aren't as popular as they should be

Mine are from the 90s I think

I went though a huge Jayhawks kick. So freaking good. I haven't listened to them in a long time, so thanks for the reminder.

The Jayhawks are from the 80s

They had some radio play back in the day. I think that "Waiting for the Sun" was their biggest hit.

I would think "Blue," no?

Good band.

Blue is what got me interested. I think they were played on Mtv. Ended up liking the others more. Outlaw Country still plays them a good bit. Variety too unlike some bands where they just play the same hit over and over.
