Did you know that
this song
'Bring Back that Leroy Brown'

LINK
was a nod to Jim Croce' whom Freddy Mercury was a huge fan of, and of course Jim had died in a plane crash the previous year

The term 'Steely Dan' comes from a novel and is the name of a huge metal dildo.

This song
was originally titled

LINK

'James, Stan, and Me'

also, the album was influenced in some parts by 'Cajun Zydeco' which his friend had turned him on to at the time

After Midnight, Cocaine, Travelin Light and Ride Me High by WSP, and Call Me The Breeze were all written by one man named JJ Cale

"Possession" by Sarah McLachlan is largely her paraphrasing letters sent to her by an obsessed fan. He tried to sue her after the song came out but it was dismissed. He later committed suicide and sent her his suicide note along with some flowers.
