They're essentially the 70s version of Milli Vanilli.

Not really. I mean, I own 10, but nothing more, and like a few other songs. Is there a correlation or something ?

The Doors win this in a landslide.
Jim Morrison is lucky that he died still young and handsome. Can you imagine how awful his act would have been when he was fat and in his 40s or 50s?
Seriously, I compare The Doors to Jane's Addiction, a band that I love. Perry Farrell would have been better off passing away in 1992...

While I think the Beatles get the nod, the above statement is very much true.

Nirvana and The Eagles get my vote.

And I really like Nirvana, but they don't really deserve half the hype they get.

The Doors are a little weird to me. Overall, I think they were overrated, but I think Robbie Kreiger is one of the most underrated guitar players ever. Also one of those rare bands that I think their last album was by far their best album. Seemed maybe they were going to turn a corner with LA Woman.

I know the Doors are in the R&RHOF, they're generally considered as one of the greatest bands of all time, but they just never did it for me.
Can't deny their talent, musically.
