A friend told me that the Mollie Ringwalds have sold out their gig this weekend in Jackson. He estimated 500 for SRO.

Arden Barnett is a promoter in Jackson and he is quite active. LINK

You've never enjoyed a cover band? I sure as hell have.

I think my buddy's brother in law has filled in drumming with the Molly Ringwalds or in some way has had some projects associated with the members. Apparently it's typical for them to draw a really good crowd, and they make pretty damn good money off of playing covers. A cover band isn't something that I would ever really make a point of going out to see, but more power to them for making a living playing music.
