Jack Russel from Great White. I thought they were crap in the day, but that dude can really sing. Check the unplugged videos. He kills the Zeppelin stuff.

"New Death Sensation" and "The Bones of Baby Dolls" seemed like he was just showing off. Haunting and perfectly conducted. Proud they were a Louisiana band.

Serj Tankian is one of my favorite singers, his voice is amazing.

Not sure if he gets the credit he deserves or not.

phenominal singer.
his voice and Michael kiske's of helloween and unisonic have held up pretty well.

others that get overlooked are dave meniketti, paul shortino, & jeff scott soto.

Dax is a good choice.

I'll add Eric Adams of Manowar.

I don't know if Joey Belladonna got the credit he deserved or not, but he has a distinctive voice in metal in my opinion. "Keep It in the Family" for example:

Phil Anselmo is generally regarded as one of the greatest metal frontmen of all time. What else does he deserve?

Great choice. Phenomenal singer, but even more underrated as a guitarist.

Guy Speranza, formerly of Riot. Probably more hard rock than metal. Though his career was short lived, Swords and Tequila is one of the best hard rock albums of the 80's.

John Gallagher of Raven. A NWOBHM band from the 80's that's still around today. Great range, great frontman.

Biff Byford from Saxon. Been around forever. Still got it.

Serj Tankian

Great vocal range

Idk his name but the singer for Sacred Reich never gets any love.

Bobby Liebling from Pentagram was a good one.

Also Burton C Bell from Fear Factory had a pretty good voice when he wanted to use it. Not much range tho.

ETA: Pete Steele from Type O Negative, I knew I was missing an obvious answer. That dude's voice could move mountains.

Phil is more toward the spectrum of overrated than anything.

Serj is a good choice.

Matt Barlow formerly of Iced a Earth was a fan favorite but the band is not well known. he has one of the most powerful voices around with good range.
