He was the voice of EW&F. He quit touring in the 90s because of Parkinsons I think. Have all their albums. Great music. RIP

EWF was my favorite in the 70's and 80's and still is today. I used to get all their albums , and saw them in concert several times. My favorite was September. The opening line was "Do you remember the 21st night of September?". I was born on the 21st night of September, 1958. RIP Maurice White.

Man, I loved that guys voice. That's the Way of The World is still one of my all time favorites.

Maurice White was genius. He had some of the best pipes in the business. I heard this on the radio and immediatley played Serpentine Fire like seven times. I saw them at the LSU Assembly Center as a lad, maybe 1978. A sad day for anybody who loved that perfect 70's fusion of pop/funk/rb that they did. They had a foot in every camp and man did they make some well crafted songs. The soundtrack to my childhood.

RIP Maurice. You will be missed. Thanks for the music.
