Mastodon - Cold Dark Place ep

Three of the songs on "Cold Dark Place" — "North Side Star", "Blue Walsh" and "Cold Dark Place" — were recorded during the sessions for MASTODON's 2014 album "Once More 'Round The Sun" and were produced by Nick Raskulinecz. A fourth track, "Toe to Toes", was recorded during the sessions for the band's most recent album, 2017's "Emperor Of Sand", and was produced by Brendan O'Brien.

Can't believe this song didn't make the final cut for the album, its awesome. Looking forward to the rest. Brent's been talking about releasing this as a solo album because apparently he wrote the whole thing and the lyrics are really personal for him but they decided to release it as a Mastodon ep instead.

Whole thing is online. I can't believe these are all B-sides. These songs are fantastic. North Side Star and Toe to Toes are my favorites.

Glad to see some fellow Mastodon fans here. EP is great. Some of their best work. North Side Star is one of the best songs they've written in my opinion.

I went and listened to some of this after reading your post. I was impressed. I really enjoyed the musicianship on display.
