he contributes on this board to every thread about the subject,and he seems to read every reply,and consider everyone's thoughts.genuine stuff IMO.
He just wants that MIM Strat,that is the perfect color,but he is trying to be responsible for his family,good guy.
How about one of you guys that is good on these interwebs,start a gofundme account,and lets pitch in and buy him that thing?
and to pay us back..he has to post some recordings of him playing it.

Lol.....
I can only imagine the hate that would be spewed at a gofundme page for a guitar purchase?
Theyd go something like this.,,,,
"MOT--- FUC---!!!! Did you have your house burn to the ground? Family members victims of a mass shooting???!! Go F--- Yourself"
If not that, refunds would be demanded and a class action suit from donors after I posted a video of the atrocities I performed on that poor guitar.

Maybe something else? just for users from this board?
I'm sure there are other options besides gofundme,that we could accomplish this,and you didn't ask for it, I just thought about it,and had the idea.I thought about making the offer to buy it for you myself,but this other way could be more fun.Giving a guitar to someone that really wants one,it's a damn rewarding gift to the giver,especially if it motivates a player.
A few years ago, I was in a Guitar Center in Atlanta,and there was an Asian girl in there playing a not so great saphire off brand,thing with butterflies all over it,just a cheap thing,but I could tell she loved it.
I was hearing her talk to the kid there,and knew she couldn't afford it,she was talking about a layaway and all that..
I went to the front counter and bought it for her,but told those guys to pretend it was a layaway,tht they would bill her later.
I am married to her now,we have a baby daughter,and she still doesn't know that I bought her that guitar
We have a house full of fantastic guitars,but she still only plays that POS with butterflies on it

LOL, I am in my middle 50s and have a wife,getting laid once per month is enough for me,maybe a couple of times,if I pretend to be nice,and remember to always make sweet gestures when I get home.
I am not rich,but using money in good ways,it pays dividends that you never plan on.
If I had George Soros,or Warren Buffet money,everybody in the world would have a good instrument of their choice. We could all find out pretty quick who has any type of work ethic,based on how they try.
