So I did a quick search of the board and some derogatory Little Feat comments popped up.
I find this unacceptable.
What is the general consensus around here?
Lowell George was one of my favorites.

such a tragic story. Dude was one of the best. Beyond being the mastermind of the greatness that is Little Feat, he also had some sick jams with The Meters and the Grateful Dead.

Great band and owners of one of THE greatest live albums of all time. Can't get enough of them.

Nice list.
Also love Two Trains, Walking All Night, Oh Atlanta, Rock and Roll Doctor New Delhis Freight Train, Feats Don't Fail me Now... and the slow jams like Missin You and Roll Um Easy.
Band has a great catalog. It's so much bigger and better than most think. There's so much more great stuff there than Dixie Chicken.

Always enjoyed their stuff. Per wiki:

If someone doesnt like little feat then I would never even bother being around them because they're obviously stupid and their opinion is shite.

Teenage Nervous Breakdown is another great one. Can't find the studio link but Bill Payne's left hand part is just scary as hell.

I can't hardly wait for the Dead Feat shows. Here is an interview with Paul Barrere

Little Feat was fantastic with Lowell George and still worth seeing after his death. One of the tightest bands I've ever seen. Lowell George played in Zappa's band for a short while and had the same high standards for musicianship that Zappa had. Everybody in Little Feat could play (Bill Payne is one of the best ever on keyboards).
Anyone who is a Lowell George fan should check this out, especially if they like Bonnie Raitt as well. A pretty amazing off the cuff poerformance.

If you haven't checked out Lowell George's solo album "Thanks I'll eat it here" you should. It is awesome.
Little Feat is great because they are so diverse. You can put on some of their tunes and it is very unlikely people aren't going to like at least a few of their songs.
We can go on and on about Lowell George but Paul Barrere is really what made that band. The difference between Little Feat's first album and second is unbelievable and it really has a lot to do with his addition. Bill Payne's piano playing is also top notch.
