Don't you know it's not cool to like Kings of Leon?

I enjoy them and their shows are fun and in your case it's Hangout Fest, so why not?

They used to be a great band and then they just weren't

They get a lot of hate for their newer stuff, but I've always enjoyed their music. I was on the way to see them in Texas about a year ago, when the lead singer had to be admitted into rehab or some shite. They canceled the show while we were on the way. I was pretty pissed about that.

They buy into their whole "rock star" fallacy entirely too much now. The ironic part is that when they actually were edgy and rock stars they were supposedly pretty cool. Now they're ego maniacs

Yea I watched that Talihalia (sp?) Sky documentary and Caleb (the lead singer) was a huge douche. All I remember is one of the other band members ripping him a new a-hole for being a piece of shite. They pretty much told him he was nothing without the rest of the band.

His voice is awesome.

I've heard a millionteen wannabe hipsters say that KOL "used to be great" or "sold out". I've never until today heard anyone say Caleb Followill had something other than a great rock n roll voice.

Of course. But Youth and Young Manhood was a masterpiece.

Not really..... They show glimpses of greatness on occasion, "closer" for instance, but the edge they used to posses that made them great has been absent for the most part.

If you like them that's fine..... Good on ya but they lost it for me

Neither one of us is winning this argument. Agree to disagree.

Far from it, but it was a nice first effort... had a lotta grit to it...

that left on the next record for the most part and by the third it was gone... they went from up and comers (good live too), to a non event...

like, cotton said, if you like 'em, thats cool...

Agreed. There are certainly worse bands you could be a fan of. I just wished they could bottle that early magic. But things change

Aha shake heartbreak was their best album. Because of the times wasn't bad. It couldn't live up to the first to but it was still solid. I lost all interest after the 4th album
