Kevin Gates - Luca Brasi Story [hip hop]

Anyone listen to this? I'm sure there are some fans since this dude's from Baton Rouge. For those that don't know him, he has a gravelly flow but can also sing decently. His mixtape from earlier this year Luca Brasi Story is on Spotify as an abridged version or you can stream the whole thing here. Highly recommended. He got signed to Atlantic off the hype of this mixtape. This dudes gonna be big imo, or at least make a name for himself on the national scene, later this year when his proper debut album comes out.

Gets played at every Baton Rouge party since like 05
Personally he got old real quick (probably from how much playtime he gets around here) i can only listen to him extend one syllable out 50 times with auto tune so many times before i want to drive my head through a wall. But most BR people treat him like some rap Savant
And the whole "Im bout that dick too" fiasco might hurt his career a bit

I can see where you're coming from. Local guys usually get too much love for their own good when you're a nonpartisan observer. I'm glad I heard about him after I left BR.

Luckily I'm in Texas so he gets no play on the radio and his stuff is very enjoyable. I can pretty much listen to Just Ride every day and not get tired of that song
