I heard Caribbean Queen on the radio and was mesmerized so I looked it up and also found Get Outta My Dreams, Get into My Car. Love these two songs and I'm surprised I hadn't heard them more- especially the latter, it seems perfect for some kind of sitcom theme song.

Any other hits by this guy? Or is he just kind of an 80's 2-hit wonder that has been forgotten?

He had several popular songs in a 3-4 year span. The two you mentioned are the most popular, but I remember a few more.

Suddenly
When the Going Gets Tough
Loverboy
Lucky Man
There'll Be Sad Songs

Great 80s production values with impeccable hooks.

I believe it was used in the movie License to Drive, starring Corey Haim, Corey Feldman and a young Heather Graham.

Suddenly is one of the best ballads of the entire decade. Such a clean, pure voice.

I think "Going Gets Tough" was played at the end of Jewel of the Nile, the sequel to Romancing the Stone.

Great song.

He partnered up with Phil Collins for "Easy Lover," a song that captured the hearts of billions and defined an entire generation.

No.

That was not Billy Ocean--it was Phillip Bailey from Earth, Wind, and Fire.

The song is actually a Phillip Baily song with Collins as back up.

He was more like an 8-hit wonder.

And the License to Drive ending with Get Outta my Dreams is one of the coolest things ever.
