I picked up Iron Maiden's Somewhere Back in Time yesterday and it is freaking awesome. I also nabbed Stevie Wonder the definitive hits and it's pretty great too but it tails off at the end. Anyone else bought any great music recently from older artists with music you'd never heard before?

Maiden's been killing it for over 30 years. Going see them next month in Houston for about the 10th time.

You've never heard of Maiden before? Or that album?
How old are you?
Hope you heard of all their previous albums...they're even better.

Number of the Beast, Killers, and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son are also great albums from Maiden. You'll really like Seventh Son if you liked Somewhere in Time.

I wish they'd play around here but they only seem to play outdoor amphitheaters. Just another great band I'll never get to see.

That is a huge problem with the Louisiana music scene. For being a state with such an influential music background it is straight pathetic there is no amphitheater. We miss virtually every major summer tour for that reason.

The Final Frontier is a great album. They put it out a couple years ago.

Saw them in Dallas in the mid 80's and it was by far the best concert I have ever been to. Early Maiden performing "Hallowed be thy name" was something to remember.

Best band ever!!!!

Black Sabbath might have invented Heavy Metal, but Maiden perfected it.

Last year was my first time at the Woodlands. Loved it. Maiden was unbelievable. Can't wait for next month. Look for me and my crew:

That stretch of albums from the first through 7th Son (Basically the 80's) is timeless. They also have never sold out like most bands eventually do.
