Has anyone been? A friend's band is playing their first gig there next Thursday, but I've never been over there. It looks like it's not in the best area of town.

Tabby's blues box wasn't a good area either

So...I take that as a no...?

My buddy's band is the Bayou Bullets. Their social media stuff has been pretty funny, but I don't know how they're gonna sound. I guess I'll go. Anyone else want to brave the ghetto to check them out? I'll be the one with the gallon of superior margaritas.

Glad I did. Friend's band actually didn't suck. The other musicians playing there weren't bad either.

Actually, I was more worried about not being able to find the place. That joint needs waaaaaay better signage. Really tough to find from the street.

So where is this located? The red dragon is not in the greatest area either, but sometimes that's where the best music is.

Right at the corner of North Street and N. 27th (Eugene), right next door to Ancona's. They have local bands every Thursday night starting around 8:00pm. Usually, Henry Turner Jr.'s band plays there (it's his joint, after all), and he invites his friends to play as well. Johnathan "Boogy" Long is another regular. It's pretty much a little dive bar just for musicians.
