I guess Daryl Hall is still doing his philly sound experience thing out of his studio barn in Kentucky or Tenn, or wherever. Over time he has become a respectable musician in his own right, not quite the joke the op is making of this duo.

Uhhhh, odd post. A bit passive agressive for no real reason.

Actually, I'm not making a joke out of H&O. They are without a doubt one of if not the best band of the last 35 years.

But that's my opinion. Clearly you don't agree, and that's okay.

Regardless, your 'tude in this thread is a bit off color. What's up with that?

Obviously it's just your opinion, which you are of course allowed, no matter how ridiculous it is.

They're actually both doing pretty well right now, too. Live from Daryl's House is a great show and Oates is now playing a lot on the singer-songwriter festival circuit. Nice little fella.

Love H&O, but always wondered what it was they "can't go for?"

Had to be something pretty crazy I reckon!

been around women much? heard some of the crazy nonsense that comes out of them?

I like what Hall has done w/ the live from Daryls house, a lot of good sessions worth checking out.

I was the first person I know to pick up Halls "Sacred Songs" mostly because it had Eno, Fripp, Tony Levin and Phill Collins guesting in on it, but it's got some interesting stuff on it, if you can take some over use or abuse of "frippertronics", interesting concept work by Hall.

Which band or bands are in your top 5 over the past 35 years? Feel free to break down into genres if you need...

I said last 35 years.

Regardless, solid list even though you have some head scratching duds sprinkled throughout.

So you pull this shite on all the boards... I had no idea.

When Luke and Robin prepare for their first robbery, Luke says "Not since Hall and Oates has there been such a team." Later, as Avery, Scott and Deluca drive to Rowina's home to investigate, the Hall and Oates song "Maneater" is playing.

Name the movie...
