Got my Jazzfest tickets.

My wife insist we go Sunday of the 1st weekend. She just "has to see" Lady Gaga & Pitbull. I would rather get my balls hit with a hammer then to fight the crowds and traffic, but I'll make the best of it like I do every year. I looked at the line-up for that day and the only person I find interesting to see that day is Tony Bennett.

The problem here isn't the long lines, crowds, and traffic, the real problem is your wife wanting to see Lady Gaga and Pitbull of all people.

Yes, but I have learned to accept the notion that her taste in music sucks. This isn't the 1st crappy concert that I have to sit through and it won't be the last. On the other hand, she does go see my bands from time to time.

You do realize Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett will be performing together? And likely will be performing the same time as Pitbull on different stages.

Yes...... and I don't care if everyone perform at different stages and the same time.
