Good spotify station for background music?

Having a party and looking for some good background music. I usually just do jazz radio or something similar

I usually do Talking Heads,Norah Jones, Miles Davis, or Sigur Ros. Depends on the party crowd and type of party.

It depends upon what type of party, inside or out, and crowd. With that being said I like ambient music in background for indoor settings.

Just put it on top 40 or country, or else most others will think it's weird.
I think pandora shuffle is the best for this, shuffle 10 channels everyone might like.

I'll second Norah Jones. I play it in my dental office--mixes in some some Jazz and performers like Ray Charles, Nina Simone, Van Morrison. Perfect antidote for root canals or pregnant women.

I ended up doing my standard jazz mix playlist. Turns out with everyone in the house it was so noisy you could barely hear the music. I did get a compliment on my herbie hancock though

I've found that van Morrison radio is usually a good station for parties and gatherings with a wide variety of ages.
