Was watching this the other night and couldn't get through it. Johnny Depp is a horrible narrator.

This is Spinal Tap

Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...

Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?

Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.

Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?

Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?

Marty DiBergi: I don't know.

Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?

Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.

Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.

Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?

Nigel Tufnel: These go to eleven.

This comes on tonight on WYES-12 TV in New Orleans.

Under African Skies

Documentary celebrating the 25th anniversary of "Graceland" and its musical and political implications.

I remember the Graceland Tour in BR...it's what made me a real fan of Simon.

Documentary of the Eagles will be shown at Sundance Film Festival. #3 son helped edit it; this summer he archived much of the film footage from the early years.

Not sure it'll be good a documentary; I just wanted to brag on my son ..

Be Here to Love Me: A Film about Townes Van Zandt

This is a fantastic documentary. There is a scene where he is talking about being at a party on a 2nd story balcony and he decides he wants to hang off the railing to feel what it's like to fly.. As he is hanging onto the railing he concludes the only way to really know how it feels to fly is to let go... and so he did.
