Axl also broke his foot at the Troubador show. Both Vegas shows are on this weekend & they have a special set up for him. He will be in a cast. This will be interesting. I can't wait to see how these Vegas & Coachella shows go.

I am okay with The Cult as an opener. I have seen them twice in clubs in the last 5 years & they are not bad at all. Ian Asbury is no longer what he was by a long shot but they will do. This is ironic because GNR's first big tour was opening for the Cult.

GUNS N' ROSES kicked off its "Not In This Lifetime" tour Thursday night (June 23) at Detroit, Michigan's Ford Field. 41,000 fans packed the stadium to watch the band play a two-hour-and-35-minute show that started just before 9:45 p.m.

The band's setlist was as follows:

01. It's So Easy
02. Mr. Brownstone
03. Chinese Democracy
04. Welcome To The Jungle
05. Double Talkin' Jive
06. Estranged
07. Live And Let Die
08. Rocket Queen
09. You Could Be Mine
10. Raw Power (Iggy and THE STOOGES cover)
11. This I Love
12. Civil War
13. Coma
14. Speak Softly Love (love theme from "The Godfather")
15. Sweet Child O' Mine
16. Better
17. Out Ta Get Me
18. Wish You Were Here
19. November Rain
20. Knockin' On Heaven's Door (BOB DYLAN cover)
21. Nightrain

Encore:
22. Don't Cry
23. The Seeker (THE WHO cover)
24. Paradise City

Bunch of videos in link, sounds decent. Setlist could use more UYI and less covers and the stage production is kinda minimal for this big a show but looks like a good anyway.

I'm glad the NOLA show is in the middle of the tour so it gives them time to gel a little bit. You can already see improvements between last night and the April shows, although having Axl on his feet has a lot to do with it.

I'm ready for July 31

Nothing confirmed, but a few rumors that he may appear on the tour at some point. Adler was recorded a while back rehearsing with the band but nothing yet as far as Izzy goes.

I think Izzy will play with them some on this tour at some point. I am so happy Adler got to play with them last night. I am ready to see what they do at the Dodger Stadium shows in L.A. That will be interesting. I am actually pumped for the show at the Superdome.

According to The Wall Street Journal, of the 25 shows the reunited GUNS N' ROSES is playing this summer as part of its "Not In This Lifetime" North American tour, twelve have sold out or are close to it, and concert promoter Live Nation Entertainment says it expects to sell out five more. The average ticket price so far is $130.

quote:

Asked by Fortune for a comment, Live Nation responded with the following statement: "GUNS N' ROSES' 'Not In This Lifetime' tour is an unqualified success. Not only is it the #1 rock tour of the summer, it will be one of the top-grossing tours of 2016 and one of the most successful reunion tours of all time. At six shows into the tour, it has already grossed more than $100,000,000 in ticket sales. Live Nation expects to surpass 1 million tickets sold and we congratulate the band on this monumental achievement."

Roux told The Wall Street Journal that Live Nation expects to sell one million tickets, or roughly ninety percent of tickets available, for the "Not In This Lifetime" tour. He added that some of the less well-attended shows were the result of the band playing cities it wanted to play, rather than sticking to the highest population centers that would better guarantee sellouts.

I checked Ticketmaster today for the show tonight in Nashville, and Id say there is still a fair amount of tickets left. If the stadium could hold 60k with the stage arrangement, I would guess there is still at least 10k tickets left. I could have easily gotten tickets on the floor decently close tonight if I wanted to pay that much.

I've been watching videos from the Philly show last week. Axl sounds great & Frank Ferrer is a badass on drums. I'm getting really excited about the 31st.
